AR Ruler collects no personal data. There is no account, no sign-up, and no user identifiers of any kind. The app contains no analytics SDK of any kind — no Firebase, no Mixpanel, nothing — and no advertising SDK. Nothing you do in the app is tracked, and no data is ever sold or shared with anyone for advertising or any other purpose.
AR Ruler uses your device's camera only to render the live AR view and compute measurements — distance, height, area, volume, angle, and perimeter — on-device, in real time. Camera frames are never stored, never saved, and never uploaded anywhere.
AR Ruler asks for your location only if you open the Compass tool, and uses it solely to determine true north. Location data is never stored by the app and never transmitted anywhere. If you don't use the Compass tool, the app never requests your location.
AR Ruler writes to your photo library only when you explicitly choose to save a measurement photo. The app never reads your existing photo library and never accesses photos beyond the ones you actively choose to save.
Your saved measurements, unit preferences, and other settings are stored only on your device. We have no servers that store this information, so it is never uploaded, backed up to us, or shared.
AR Ruler offers an optional subscription. Payment is processed entirely by Apple through your App Store account — we never see your name, email address, or payment details. Our subscription service provider, RevenueCat, receives only a random, app-generated identifier and your purchase receipt so your subscription status can be activated and restored. This information is not used for advertising or tracking. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for details.
AR Ruler is rated 4+. As described above, the app collects nothing from any user, so nothing is collected from children either.
